Welcome hamzee, Kameel here. did'nt I tell you how to animate with frprime?

anyways how are you dude, I tried Kray Was'nt really working for me. too addicted to fprime's realtime render. I even tried something I done in fprime, rendered it in kray, slow and it did not come out right. imo If you have a lot of time then Kray it, but if you need speed fprime it.

Is it true that they say Kray Is considered lightwave's version vray? What is the difference of fprime and kray?? anybody??

Too tell you the truth Im stuck on fprime just can't get over it's speed but I still will slowly check out Kray with all it's photon mapping stuff etc, etc.

Any Kray users out there maybe pop in there opinions. try get them in here It would be interesting to share.

cheers!

Hey Kameel. I've been using the Kray demo for a few weeks now, and I have to say it's quite impresive. The learning curve isn´t too steep, and results are gratifying. And it is fast when you learn how to use it efficiently. It's not multithreaded yet, and it's still faster than Vray in most cases. Multithread is coming in the next major update. Baking is exceptional (way better than lightwave's), and shared GI for animation really speeds it up. If you guys want, I could post a quick tutorial on a generic scene to show you the basics.

Check out the gallery (http://www.kraytracing.com/index.php?subpage=3) and download the demo (http://www.kraytracing.com/index.php?subpage=1).

Cheers, Dan.

For interiors and radiosity i see no other option than using kray. It's the Vray for lightwave. Photonmapping is way faster and produce much better results than slow, grainy 3 bounce montecarlo in Fprime. Im very entusiastic to the upcoming 1.7 wich is said to be multithreaded. For those who need help getting started the developers are always reachable at http://www.kraytracing.com/irc/irc.cgi
