IC
Interesting project and nice render. In fact, the only thing that concerns me is the background image. Good work.

marcoboy
Hi and thank you for the comments!! I will search for better BG image... BTW stairs are fully build to go to the second floor, but I have not installed any lights to there yet, I think that's why you can't see the opening Here's render without any materials:
marcoboy
Hi Here's the view from the ball chairs to the left: (Still a bit minimal, but I will add more stuff soon) Two doors on the left are small bathroom (right) & walk-in closet (left). Next I have to render livingroom again to see what does it look like from there

marcoboy
very nice works. i think the gap between the horizental blinds are too much.any way, great design. Thanks !! Those are not actually "blinds", those are non movable fixed round fir rings, just like in this mcdonald's Finnish headquarters: But, you could be right, maybe I should try to make the gap smaller... gods418
can we see the exterior? im a bit curious how it will look like because the mac donalds building is very big while yours is very small.... nice rendering and an interesting project.
Bongo51
marcoboy, I stumbled here from more of a 'maxwell' place, but... errrm Does anyone really live in a kitchen that big? Is this a client job? It seems odd.. that style of space used as a kitchen. Which may be funky, but it seems more corporate. Is it a corporate kitchen? Or a kitchen part of an institute? Ok, I just read back a bit further and answered most of those questions. However, I left that in because perhaps the render doesn't express the accurate scale of the place. The viewer angle and something about the lighting really makes the place look like a much larger space. By looking I would (at first) guess there to be a 'small underground parking structure' volume of space here. A small prop, closer to the viewer may be helpful, like a plant. Also, if you have moved the camera up past 6 foot, that may help to add the 'theatre' type feel to the shot. man. that looked at first like a HUGE kitchen. cheers. EDIT> I just realized how many stairs these occupants would walk per day. What is it? Five flights of 26? I live on a three level where the living room/kitchen and the bedrooms, and my office are on different levels. I attribute my continued health with the fact that I require water. Oh, and the thousands of stairs I walk a day. So, I think an elevator would be a required selling feature for most people. ;P
marcoboy
Very intresting work........would you share Vray render settings? Thanks for your comments!! You really had some time to investigate my "house" This is totally fictious project just to teach me some VRay, so no realism intented to begin with ... I use 3D people mesh to measure different aspects of the house, but I allways hide those from the "final" renders, just because those look terrible. I definitely will consider your points on the space usage etc.! About the stairs: I know I have same feeling about those stairs, but because I work on a workplace of 3 floors with only stairs and no elevator I'm used to it and "forgot" elevator... Although I do have "Grocery elevator" on the center pilar Thanks
marcoboy
Hi! Maby the scale of the kitchen is more visible in this updated render I made yesterday...

marcoboy
Time for some updates Image of the kitchen from the oposite direction: (Added small cabinets between windows). I started to work on bathroom floor. This is quite early render with lots of stuff missing. (glass wall area is going to be sauna). I left the humans I use for measuring the scene in their places. marcoboy
Getting closer to finish my bathroom floor: Strange blue artifact around the right side shower. Might be because of Light cache sample error's I get in this room... Any suggestions?
TRANSPARENT
Really cool innovative design there...the only crit I would have is not liking the material you are using around the pool (they look like rocks). Whatever they are, they look out of scale...like they are too big. None the less....great work.
Ian P
I Think your humans look pretty cool, if they were in a few different poses they would give it a real Illustrative feel, and your right they do really help to show scale, Nice project over all too, renders look great
