IC
Lwcad is excellent. I'll be getting the upgrade. For the first time in about 4 years, I'm really excited to be a LW user. I still haven't installed the LW 9 Beta though. It doesn't seem right to look at it yet. Ridiculous I know!

I still haven't installed the LW 9 Beta though. It doesn't seem right to look at it yet. Ridiculous I know! I installed the v9 beta a couple of months ago, but it kept crashing. No warning, not repeatable, just crash. It certainly has promise, and somethings, like choosing what color your points/polys are highlighted, are instantly addicting. The new texture node editor also has huge potential.

Interesting, I don't think LW9 has crashed on me once from Beta to RC14...in fact - it seems more stable than 8.5 in my experience. We'll see when the final-final changes are made and the software is released for public consumption - which, hopefully, is VERY soon.

Hector
For those interested...take a look at all the videos on wtools3d.com. Incredible tools. Looks REALLY impresive. Realtime booleans and the drilling tools are amazing. A feature not shown on the demos but listed on the new features is import capabilities like .dxf import preserving layers, which is something I've been mising for a long time. That feature alone is going to save me a lot of time. Snaping to background layers is another nice adition.
