Making Real Clouds On Photoshop

Hi everyone, does anyone have a good tutorial to make realistic clouds on photoshop, so you can make the background sky for all your proyects????

i have about 500 high res sky phots, so i usually tweek or re-compose on of those to suit my scene.

 

but are you talking more about a wrap-around sky that merges nicely at the edges?

I am doing it /not always - sometimes using photos/ this way:

 

1. need save render in .png file /or something else with alpha channel/

2. make in PS gradient layer - from yellow-orange through bright blue to darker blue

3. download from http://www.brushes.obsidiandawn.com/sets/clouds.php clouds brushes and install that in PS

4. make next layer with clouds brushed with this brushes /if you need more bright clouds duplicate layer and play with layer opacity

5. save - done /advantage: resolution independent, so could be used for really big images/

 

/2,5. - of course you need next layer for background trees or houses or something like that/

 

samples: not really best work on clouds but for imagination
