ktm07
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to run spawner (1.47.03 on Max8) as a service like you can with backburner? Thanks! Tom
Clifton Santiago
Wouldn't we all love that. I was just discussing this fantasy with my IT guy this morning. Not currently, but I don't know if it will happen by 1.5. I hope so. You would need to post at Chaosgroup and ask Vlado or one of the many, many beta-testers. Not me though... Clifton Santiago
Hey thanks. I just searched for that but didn't find it. I'll need to go through the thread in greater detail, but it appears even if I get the spawner running as a service, I will still need to be logged on with VNC to all the render nodes? And everytime I cancel a rendering, I will have to go to each node, and restart the spawner because its unstable (or for whatever reason it stops working). That's why I quit using DR to begin with... In my mind, for VraySpawner to run analagously to Backburner it needs to 1) run as service 2) not require logon 3) never need to be manually re-started Will all this be included in 1.5?
