So this is my first post. I feel it can be better, but im not sure where to go with making it better. I have a day light system and a vray light. Maybe I should used hdr? or just contract it in photoshop?

Daylight system? Are you talking about max's daylight system? How about just the vray light? We don't usually use Max's daylight system with Vray. You may even just try putting a standard direct light as your sun and nothing else. I found it easier to get used to the renderer using a light I was familiar with. Then try out the vray light. Also, it looks like you have some exposure problems. Don't use exposure control.
