Hi there, your help would be hugely appreciated!

As you will appreciate from the Sean i'm constructing i'm a complete novice with 3dmax.

My problem iv encounted is that within the perspective view the objects aren’t being drawn correctly and when they are rendered bits are missing???

Rather odd, as in the plan and section views the mesh seam to be intact... and i can see no reason why they wouldn’t be.

see atached image,

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I only set about teaching my self Max this evening and already iv hit a bit of a hold up.

many thanks

Matt

How did you model this object? I think is the direction of the normals. If you apply a standard material with 2-sided checked and it renders fine, than your normals are pointing in the wrong direction and you have to flip them.

That's what I think.

Good luck,
