Vray Material Problem

I tried to use one of my friends PC who's having a different setup and still

learning to use Vray. Well, my question is...this is my first time to encounter these. I have set the renderer as Vray , however when I tried to open the

materials library and each time I make use of Vray mat'l, the mat'l turns out

to be black, this happens only with the Vray Mat'l....can any1 help me with

this issue?

mm.... i think that u need to use vray as your material editor renderer....to do this go to render (F10) then under the assign renderer tab there are 3 slots one for the produccion and the second for the material editor, it should be locked or whith vray assigned.
