Ernest Burden III
The eventual price tag will depend on Gehry's design. Understatement of the day
kippu
sounds exciting enough ,, guggenheim , frank gehry and dubai ... good combo
arquiteck09
is it really exciting ?? i mean if Frank Gehry is the main Architec we all know what is going to be the final result, he is married with his latest "style". This kind of projects should give the opportunity to another architects to bring new ideas, specially for the Guggenheim museum. The Bilbao´s Guggenheim is beatiful, master piece, no doubt about it, but enough is enough, my 2 cents.
Paul Griger
The Bilbao´s Guggenheim is beatiful, master piece, no doubt about it, but enough is enough, my 2 cents. Agreed. I would have liked to see another architect get a shot at this. Ghery will likely do a competent job with the project, but he has done one already in Spain and I would like to see how a Guggenheim Museum would fare in another's hands. Not the most well thought out argument, buy my $.02 none the less
Ernest Burden III
This kind of projects should give the opportunity to another architects to bring new ideas Let's assume that Ghery will do just that. Why would he not be aware of that attitude--that he's a one-trick guy--and put his mind to coming up with something fresh and amazing? He'ld better!
