RyanSpaulding
Does anyone have any idea if there issuch a book or article? I'm finding most jobs are requiring AutoCAD/Max and I use MicroStation and Vue. Any help or direction is appreciated.
Ricardo Eloy
Hum... guess you won`t find anything that specific, Ryan. Still, Microstation and AutoCAD are not really that different. You`ll probably have no trouble moving to ACAD. Now, from VUE to Max is another story...
qwarto
hi ryan i myself is a microstation user for 15 years. and currently using autocad in my office. one thing that u need to be aware of when modelling in autocad make use that u dont use to much solids in autocad as this will be very heavy when exported to max/viz. imho 3d in ms is still easier than autocad especially with the use of accudraw (not sure in acad 2007) though. ofcourse u still need a separate software to have a decent rendering when using acad compared to ms. it gets getting use to especially with commands familiarisation but it can be done since the principle of 3d is basically the same in most cases. for vue to max there is a software of vue clled vue xstream i think which is a plugin for max that u can use to be able to edit and create vue environments in max dont know about viz. hope this helps. marlon
monkeysee
Don't Do It!!! I'd add that it's quite useful knowing how the 'UCS' works in AutoCAD - it's nowhere near as flexible as accudraw, but once you understand its workings, AutoCAD is not so bad...
