yeeleng114 Posted July 10, 2006 Share Posted July 10, 2006 can anyone please show me how the correct of applying light to this 3ds max file using vray renderer. i hv tried many times but i can't get the effect that i want or it's rather look unrealistic. anyone please hv a look and give some suggestion so that i can improved my skill and i am new to 3ds max. BrianKitts Posted July 10, 2006 Share Posted July 10, 2006 your #1 problem is that your four main lights pointing down are buried in the ceiling.... pull those down below the ceiling and you'll got alot more light in the whole scene.... search the forums here for vray settings.... your render times will improve greatly with a little research. Use vray materials and lose the raytraced shadows, (use vray shadow) that alone will speed you up a bit.... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
