Sketchrender
Good that means your interested then..... I want to get people together and learn from each other, and maybe get to to know the business too a little better. I am sure there are lots of people out there who could do with the odd quick fix, and a network of useres who know their stuff would be handy to all. So it's me and you.. is that group technically....? anyway lets wait and see the feed back i will go off and find out whats involved. phil
JamesTaylor
i like the idea......but isn't CGA just a worldwide user group for Vray and anything else Arch Viz related? be intersting to see a proposal etc of what would be involved
ZFact
Id be interested.... only problem though is that i dont use Vray.... would it be possible to have a more general CG user group... and as jat says would it not just be a local version of what we have here on an international level? Sketchrender
I am waiting on feed back from a few people as to the set up, as i have written to the chaosgroup, and ask if they have any guide lines or advise and also xsi base which is one of the best support groups i have come across. Everything seems be state site on the meeting side of the things in cg business. may be that's were all the money is. anyway I will wait and see. phil
alfienoakes
Actually, as I read thru your message, it does make sense Phil. All the meetings etc.. user group get togethers etc.. are in the USA, the only other I have seen is a few of the guys over on the Autodesk forums meet up in Barcelona and Amsterdam now and then.. Now if I'm travelling to those places, all due respect to you guys, its for a holiday and to un-wind for a while.. not talk shop.. Andy
JamesTaylor
Phil, have you got any further with this idea?
Sketchrender
no I have written to Vlado from Vray , and asked him for some guide lines as it will represtent their software. He asked me o wait untill they got the launch off the ground , so it is all on hold for the moment. It is going to be a big task. have you any ideas about it. phil
JamesTaylor
as you've already said... its gonna be a big task, but i wonder if creating a more general Arch Viz group catering at the UK based professionals may be more rewarding and offer a greater scope for development. Clifton Santiago
Do you really need to do this? Do you frequent the Chaosgroup forum? Its the official vray forum, very friendly and its easy to meet local Vray users. In addition to worldwide users, I have been able to find Vray freelancers in London to help me on work, and we even had a Vray pub night a couple weekends ago. I can't imagine a specifically Vray usergroup that is going to be a better resource....
