ki_cz Posted July 19, 2006 Share Posted July 19, 2006 I have a question regarding the loft function in 3ds max. What has happened is that I have poly modeled an object and would like to 'outline' it with a cylindrical loft. What I did is selected the edges that I would like to be "lofted" detatched them, created an editable spline. Now, I am unable to use this as my path for the loft function, is there any way to do this, or will I have to do it manually? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
vadhor Posted July 21, 2006 Share Posted July 21, 2006 In some cases this can be happened. Do you make spline by "Create Shape from selection"? Try this workaround: * make line at needed viewport (in the top, for example) * attach shape (which you created from poly) to this line * remove segments of line created at first step from shape Try loft again Good Luck, Dave!
