3darchitect
Dumb question, but I need some help. Ok, so I'm experimenting with drawing walls in 3dsmax using Create, AEC Objects. I've figured out how to adjust the wall's width and height, but I can't adjust it's length. I need to imput precise measurements. Like if I need the wall to be 12" thick, and 10' tall, then how do I specify that it be 11' 9 19/32" long? (or any other measurement for that matter)
Quique
Hi, If you want to make sure your wall lenth is 11' 9 19/32" long, first make sure your units are set to feet with fraction inches set to at least 1/32", or Max will round up. In order to get a specified length, there's the tedious process of selecting a vertex, snapping it right over the 1st wall vertex, and then manually inputting the distance in X or Y axis. It's extremely cumbersome, I know. Another option is to have these wall lengths drawn in AutoCAD as a simple line, import it into Max and snap to the vertices when drawing your wall. 3darchitect
OOO - Thanks - I'll try the second option, especially because I have an entire floor plan already drawn with lines. How exactly would I go about the importing process? (sorry, I'm a totaly noob to 3dsmax)
