nisus
Hi all, I am looking to buy more pre-animated manikins like HX from polygems: http://test.cadalyst.com/reviews/software/addons/3Dpeeps2/3Dpeeps2.htm Where can I find a collection of people having a picknick, sunbathing, reading, chatting etc. ? Basicly I need some kind of leisure-collection and a lot of playing children and maybe a few dogs... rgds nisus
nisus
Hi all, Once again... Does someone know a collection of pre-animated models? Anyone knows a good way to introduce cycling people, animated animals (dogs&cats) and playing children? rgds nisus

matt_vinoir
Hello, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. All of our contact information for PolyGems is coming up empty, so it does appear they're out of business. You might want to check out ArchVision (http://www.archvision.com) if your software supports RFC content. Other options that may have what you want include realpeople from ArchSoft (http://www.archsoft.com), digimation (http://www.digimation.com), and people for People (http://www.peopleforpeople.com). I'm not sure if any of these do animations, though. nisus
Hi all, I just found this link - http://www.viewpoint.com/vp/index.jsp - where you can buy animated bipeds. It's a pitty they don't sell pre-animated skins, because many architects (like myself) are not trained to skin characters... Anyway, it's way too expensive imho, but I'd share the link anyway. What do you think of the models/motions? rgds nisus
nisus
Hi all, Does anyone knows whether this collection is animated or not? http://www.zygote.com/store/product1.asp?SID=4&Category_ID=37&Product_ID=420 tnx nisus
kid
have you tried Poser? It is fairly easy to give the model the required posture and mofidy clothing and stuff then export the mesh, and I think there's quite a few free Poser models floating around the net too (however most free model will probably look like Vampira or Pamela Anderson, not particularly real). There are cats and dogs and other animals too. I'm not sure but I think the Poser Pro Pack lets you export the model boned and skinned to animate in Max, not sure on that though. It looks like they blended those functions into Poser5, which I have not upgraded to yet, but will. www.curiouslab.com There was some work done to make Poser work well with Max. And, as pointed out, it does include some animals, even in P4. It has a number of motion-capture walks and other movements which loop perfectly, and you can buy additional ones, so this may be what you are looking for, but it isn't going to be a drag-and-drop operation, and not light work for the computer, either.
