pirallah
I usually work with interiors, and in my experience use a great number of lights in my scenes, especially in night shots. So far, Ive been rendering with MAX scanline renderer. Im moving on to learning Mental ray (since Max has it free) but feel that there are better renderers. The deal breaker is that the renderer has to be able to handle an average 20 or more lights in each scene without waiting for more than five hours. I feel MR is quite slow since I tried it a few times (once with 38 lights, 8H23m10s; and latest with 44 lights, 16h10m59s). Also, are there any sites where I can download IES lights/settings? I didnt see any forum on lighting (is there?) so I just posted here in general discussion. Apologies if Im wrong...
