THIS is a scene file i downloaded to practice using the finalrender stage 2 plugin for cinema4d...render took 30 mins no post effects...one window area light, i direct light for sun and 1 omni infill to fill the interior....what do u guys think?

I find fr to be almost 50% faster than advance render system of C4D with great quality too..will work on materials and post updates

If the 30min benchmark was for the size of the image you posted, Mental Ray can do better. It's difficult to say such thing, but my preliminaires interior renders take about 5 to 10min to render in a medium to low quality.

People complain about MR's high render times, but when you start getting into it, using MR materials, as well as Lume shaders, specially using the last version of mental ray's Final Gather you can achieve very nice results. And FAST!

But the rendering looks good though, i just miss a little bit more collor bleeding, becaus of the very intense coloured walls.

Good work.
