joed200
Hi there, Here is my latest scene. I am having a couple of problems with an interior scene i am working on. Can anyone help me on the following: 1. (See image attached) I am getting these bright areas at the junction between the wall and floor which I have circled in red. How do i get rid of this? 2. I want to be able to add a background scene in Photoshop so therefore need obtain alpha settings for the blue background i have now so that it can be deleted later without affecting the glazing. How do I do this? Sorry if i have confused you I am not very good at putting my problems into words. Any other advice on how to improve the scene would be greatly appreciated. I am using 3dstudio max 8 and Vray Thanks for viewing.
Trevor Tizard
Hi, Looking good so far....................... For the bright patches ensure that the walls and floor meet properly and there are no gaps in the geometry. For the background save the image with an alpah channel such as a .png file and the blue background will be removed allowing an image to be added in photoshop. Hope this helps! chuck
I think your lighting needs work...mind posting your settings? The image just looks off to me. How is the space lit besides the sun?

Jason Matthews
Overall, I think you need more contrast in your scene. Yor shadows are too harsh for the amount of light in the scene. I think your wood material on the floor is too large. The fireplace lacks detail and just overall depth. And I also think your windows would benefit from having frames in them. Detail can make or break an image. Keep going.
