Tim Saunders
OOh yeah, Been playing with it all day long. I got my dongles at Siggraph (does that sound like something that should be on a tee-shirt?). Great new features! Works with Viz2007 too!
FlytE
So is it stable enough to upgrade to would you say? or is it better to hold back until a more official release? A

Crazy Homeless Guy
Travis, Did you get yours last week at SIGGRAPH? Tom hi tom, i didn't go to Siggraph. i was only at Vismasters. i was going to pick them up then, but our I.T. guy already submitted the form to have them shipped, so we stuck with that. i am crazy busy this week, so it doesn't matter, but next week i am going to be curious about playing with v1.5, but i don't think my dongles will be here by then. skogskalle
nope... so far only the people who were at siggraph have recieved the dongles... not sure when the rest of us can expect to get them. Vlado said that they would start shipping the dongles soon after they come back from the US, (which would be about now) but since they have so many dongles to ship I think it can take a while to get them out. Christopher Nichols
- anyone know where to go for the 15% discount price on the new version? I heard about it on cgtalk but haven't been able to find it at all. If you are a current full user of Vray, there is no cost to this upgrade... I think you may need to pay for thr shipping of the dongle, but not sure.

I think you may need to pay for thr shipping of the dongle, but not sure. I'm not yet a user and interested in buying it fairly soon. Syndicate mentioned a 15%-20% discount "for a limited time only", which sounded fantastic - I just can't find the deal he's referring too.. Syndicate mentioned a 15%-20% discount "for a limited time only", which sounded fantastic - I just can't find the deal he's referring too.. what's the full retail price of V-ray anyway~ $1000? Just also wanted everyone to know that you can get V-ray for a limited time for up to 15% off. The trick is you have to find it yourself. I wont be starting any wars between distributers so lookup "purchase vray" in google and you will find some amazing offers. searched: http://www.trinity3d.com/ http://www.motionmedia.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=

Tim Saunders
Is the UVW/Bitmap problem fixed for users using VIZ2006? I still am using version 1.46 According to me it's fixed too. I've been using it for almost 3 days now with tons of test renders and have not run into a problem yet. And like Chris said, free to current vray users. I was so pumped to hear that from Vlado. Just logon and download. People seem to be a bit sceptical about the dongle, but I really think it was a good, solid move. All the info about it is on the updated Spot3d help files.
