Devin Johnston
This could be caused by a material that has become corrupted. Try this: -Open your scene -switch you default render engine from Maxwell to Scan Line -Open the material editor, and then close it -Switch back to Maxwell -Save the scene without doing anything else -Close Max _Open Max and your Maxwell scene This will clear out all the Maxwell materials, you will have to put them back in the material editor but hopefully you will have fixed the crashing problem. Koper
looks like a memory failure. Try rendering without the actual rendering window, you can choose this in the rendering menu. I think its a check box called 'display render' or something good luck
Devin Johnston
That should have cleared out all your Maxwell materials and replaced them with default scanline materials. What version of Maxwell are you using?
nzjimmy2001
cheers guys... i'll try the rendering without a render window... see if that helps. i may have to take the plunge and buy a new computer.... but then my worry is that i spend alot of cash only to find the error still occurs. :\ i'm using maxwell version 1.1. i reset all the materials to the default with the reset command then re-entered new ones but error still happens. Koper
if you can, try rendering on another machine which is similar to yours, if it still doesn't work, then its the scene, maybe somebody here can help you on this
