justintime1
Hi there folks Can any one tell me how to achieve the effect show in t his image? I’m referring to the way the light coming form the roof lights appears to be coming though lenses and making that nice effect where its hitting the wall. I’m using cinema R9. Many thanks. JamesTaylor
you need to use an ies file inconjunction with your light source ( i don't know cinema 3d but i guess its still the same principle) you can download loads of ies files from http://www.erco.co.uk or maybe .com - also there are free ies viewers out there which will allow you to see how the light distrubition, of the ies file, will appear before rendering it in the image
STRAT
yup, cinema wont naturally render ies lights, but it's very easily faked using a projector lamp and a relevant map.

Frosty
strat means a "gel". a map used to mask out or control the light and create patterns.
