edub
is there a way to add a text field, to be included in the rendering? I'm thinking of something along the lines of the HUD, which can show active camera, selected polygons, etc, except I want to be able to add notes on different options of my render, be it rendersettings, or design variations. I hope I'm making clear what I'm talking about here - a comparable example would be Vray renders (I guess?) I've seen, where render time, render settings etc, are displayed a part of the finished render. Anyone have any ideas? thanks
Frosty
I havent seen anything that does that, however it would be very cool as a plugin. I would think thta would be a very simple plug to write...for someone that can code.

AJLynn
If you make a text object and child it to the camera, then put it where you want in the field of view, it stays there relative to the camera. Is that what you're looking for?
William Alexander
Fairly sure, if you have expresso, you can create an expression to do that. How on the otherhand is a different story. 9.5+ you have very robust full scripting ability also.
edub
AJLynn... that sounds like it might do the trick, for what I need... thanks! On the other hand, what if I wanted to have render settings/ times *automatically* be displayed as an overlay - could that be done w/ scripting?
