JamesTaylor
this has been discussed / solved before... try doing a search, i'm pretty sure i've even posted a solution somewhere, unfortunately i can't remember what it was!!
JamesTaylor
i've just done a search myself, but i can't find anything.... i'm sure this has come up before, and i seem to remeber it being an easy one to correct
jow
Its cos you are using "screen" mapping for the bitmap, change it to spherical or even better add it in post.
LordRaven
make sure you have the bitmap in the max's environment slot and NOT in vray's environment rollout under reflection/refraction.
drvox
Actually I've set the background in 3dsmax, not in the environment of vray settings.. Jow how can I change the mapping like you said? Jet10005, but I couldn't also find the post but thanks anyway for thehelp:) Thanks all
drvox
I've done a few tests and I realised that the background only crosses with objects when I turn on GI. Here is also something strage to me..I tried to render the same scene but: -turned off the background image -got two Free Area lights outside near the windows -one target point getting the sun effect -the windows are pure vray glass That's what I got...It just seems a night scene and windows seem to have black glass.. I'm having some trouble to render a daylight interior scene... any help? By the way, where do I get high qualiti image to get a nice print? This was a test and has low subs but even if I increase subs the image quality increases but not pixels for a good print... thanks a lot!
jow
Drag the enviro bitmap to your material editor then change the mapping there. The scene is dark cos ethier a, your glass mat doesn't have "affect shadows" ticked or your vray lights are the wrong way round and not invisable...
