Name for animimation type??

Excuse my idiocy; I have been asked to do an animation of a building being built; kinda of brick by brick with layers turning on as the scene rotates.Can anyone tell me the name of this type of animation; just to get a few looks at a couple before digging into my own.

I don't think there is an official name for this type of thing. BTW, one of the finalist for the animation awards was this type of animation and it rocked!

personally its a bum itcher..... I'm working on one right now.... as for what you'd call it, I refer to it as a construction animation, or a progression animation. Is that what you were after?
