Eamon
Hi guys, just wondering if anyone knows of a french equivalent of cgarchitect? There are only 3 firms listed under the resources here, so I guess language is the biggest barrier, and I don't think I have enough yet to google for it, thanks
Brian Cassil
There may only be 3 firms, but there are quite a few users. And I don't know of any equivalent to CGA in any language.
Eamon
Thanks for the reply Brian. This is just out of mild interest, as a precursor to a possible move way down the line, 18mnths at the closest. There most likely should be a french equivalent, as they're pretty visually orientated over there with their comics or bandes dessinées. I think that the French have a more visual culture than Anglos, as you can see from the guys at http://www.auralab.com/ and they're well able to stamp their own personality on the software, putting paid to the whole "make beautiful render button" argument that some luddites might put forward. However, each to his own; someone at vizdepot.com thought it was just cheap photoshop work over nasty renders, so there you go! 'Course, I could be just wildly generalising - I know EBIII has made great strides in the npr department...
