KennyMiller
I am new to vray and I having some strange problems. While rendering my applied materials in the scene will at times all render as pink or grey. Is there a setting that I am missing to get rid of this problem. I also seem to have to go to extremes to get color changes in my maps. To get a hint of red in my wood floor the map is glowing red in the material editor. What am I doing wrong. Any help out there would be appreciated. Thanks
Thablanch
For the pink or gray issue, could it be cause you maps are located on an other computer. If so, you need UNC path to get to them: \\machine5\blabla\maps\a.jpg and not z:\blabla\maps\a.jpg The use of the letter in a path can lead to the map not being read by the slave rendering machine. So if this happens, it renders the default diffuse color, usually grey. Of course, applies for network rendering only, if you are rendering on your own machine, theses comments do not apply. For the color thing, well, I do not know, could you post a screenshot of the rendering + your material tree
sherysahota
For glowing red material in editor vray shows a red for incompatible material.
