steveblake
release notes: "Chaos Group is pleased to announce that the first public beta release of the V-Ray rendering engine for Autodesk® Maya® is now available for free download from the Chaos Group website: http://www.chaosgroup.com/support This is the full implementation of the V-Ray engine inside Maya with the following limitations: * Output resolution is limited to 600x450 * The number of lights in the scene is limited to 4. * The number of objects in the scene is limited to 200. * A watermark is placed at the upper-left corner of the image. Render settings are practically identical in the Maya implementation compared to the 3dsmax. Additionally, V-Ray for Maya can export the scene to a format that allows rendering with the standalone version of V-Ray. We invite everyone to take part in this public beta. Your input will help us shape the final product and will make sure that it is suited for your needs. If you are not satisfied with the limitations and wish to have access to the internal unlimited builds, drop us an email at vraymaya@chaosgroup.com Currently V-Ray is available for Maya 7.0 only. We will have the 6.5 and 8.0 builds ready in a few days. Best regards, V-Ray team Chaos Group"
