Tim Saunders
Does that sign say Lone Peak? Is that in Utah Valley? Looks good by the way. Are those Sugar 3d cars?
skala67
thanks Tim, Yes it is a job in Utah. I can tell you more once they start marketing to the public. The cars are actually from the dosch design libraries. I have been nothing but happy with them. http://www.doschdesign.com
STRAT
nice job. great job actually :) can i ask where you got your road texture and peoples from?
mahorela
I agree with Strat, the road texture is an especially nice touch and the foreground cars are awesome. You must love the fact that you can realistically place a background image like that in your scenes (guess where you live you don't have too much trouble with pc's overheating!!). The only thing that stands out to me in this image is the grass in your garden beds....It just doesn't look right to me, maybe colour, maybe it's the model, maybe a little of both. great job though
NOOXY
LOOKING FORWARD to the that skala..i'll keep my eyes open for it. I'm using cinema4d 9.6...

skala67
Ok, thanks for all your comments. here is how i do my road textures in Cinema4D. this does not work for aerial views, because i have not modified the texture to look right yet, but it works very well for ground level renders. let me know if you have any questions about the process. I would play around with the Tiles X and Y of each material to get the size and detail you desire. My material scale settings are: Mat00014 X: 15 (6.667%) Y: 15 (6.667%) Mat.6 X: 3 (33.333%) Y: 3 (33.333%) Mat.7 X: .2 (500%) Y: 1.5 (66.667%) cheers,
skala67
also noticed i may have had a setting wrong...try upping the bump strength of Mat.7 to get nice dark streaks that simulate car trafic usage.... cheers,
