neldy18 Posted August 21, 2006 Share Posted August 21, 2006 I lost my post here, I dont know where did it go, I'm a new user of vray, I need a help, I cant make my environment background appear behind my door and windows, and instead it comeout as a black background, I put my environment mapping to environment map then put it also into my material slot and select as screen, then after i render the result was like this. Sketchrender Posted August 21, 2006 Share Posted August 21, 2006 ok after you have done what you have done so far. you need to go to view under your main max pallets. there you have vieqw port background . There you gpo to view port, choose your perspective. then click display background and use enviroment background.and it will apper in your perspective view. neldy18 Posted August 21, 2006 Author Share Posted August 21, 2006 Hi Philip, I did that already but the result was the same, I dont know whats wrong, is it the material or the object itself, by the way i ysed an AEC doors and windows of max, but my other previous renderings using a standard scanline rernderer i dont encounter this problem only here in vray. is there any solution to my problem? thanks. jophus14 Posted August 22, 2006 Share Posted August 22, 2006 You can put the map on a plane in the background and render it out. You might want to adjust the plane not to receive light or GI or some common things such as those. Can you see the background image when you click smooth on the screen? I really want to know what is the problem with my work, so if ever i will encounter this same problem i would know what to do next, coz I have a lot on que of projects here in the office. many thanks.
