This is the kind of thing most people do in their learning days and it's something command line renderers could do 15 years ago. To make something like that unique, you need to make the texturing WAY above average. Experiment with gradients. It would also help to have a focal point and make your viewing angle more dynamic. IC Posted August 23, 2006 Share Posted August 23, 2006 You're doing the right sort of thing to perfect texturing and lighting so keep plugging away and experimenting with varied projects. Get on the Newtek, CGTalk and Spinquad forums. They're much more focused on this sort of thing. This, however, is a dedicated architectural CG site so the feedback will be limited unless you post architectural examples. You'll be surprised how quickly you progress from here on in.
