Does anyone know if theres anyway I can open a vray raw image in the virtual frame buffer? Ive rendered out the raw image but when opening in viz and also in PS, it has lost the colour correction that I had orignally set in the vray frame buffer.

i dont really know about the raw format but if you will save your image in hdr fomat then it will come right in ps.

and yes i found the thread http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/17061-gamma-correction.html?highlight=gamma+correction

i think this one has almost most comprehensive detail about this thing.

it surely helped me.

The CC you do in the VFB is only for the viewport... meaning only for preview and looking. For example, it allows me to expose up and down, do some gamma shifts to check all the color range and exposures, contrast, etc... without effecting the original image. I think... and I may be wrong on this, but you CAN "burn in" what you did in the Vray VFB by copying it to the max VFB with the little button at the top, then saving it.

However, I would agree with most of the posts above, save it out as an exr using the converter, open that in PS and CC it in that.

yes, for color correction, but saving the image in VFB with the CC enabled will burn the corrections into the image.
