JuanManuel
Hi this is my first post here! To celebrate the occasion, I thought of posting something I am working on right now. It is a house for Cholula, Puebla. The architecture itself I modelled completely in Shade, the plants and the car are stock models. As to the palm tree, the leaves are from a plant I exported from Vue, and I redid the trunk. The human scales are Poser figures. Right now my machine is busy with the front view render, I will post the result as soon as it is finished. All critiques and feedback and etc is welcome, of course! Here is also a test render I did to check on some details and stuff
anindia
dear friend, there is no similarity between ur background lighting and the model lighting. it seems to be that u simply cut and paste ur rendered model on ur background image- they are not matching. please take care of that. JuanManuel
I know that, the sun points in absolutely different directions! They are even taken from different point of views... As it was a test render, I just wanted to see how the colours of the sky and ground looked with the house. It is a proxy background, so to speak. Of course it will be taken care of. I should have mentioned that in the first thread... Thank you for pointing that out, now that I look at itl, it does stand out too much, maybe next time I will post my WIP without a background to avoid confusion. JuanManuel
Here is a more detailed render of the house exterior. As you can see, I took care to match the same POV and the sun position for the background as well as the foreground.

NOOXY
ur style looks nice a appealing but i would change the background..your overall composition is not working out too much...camera angle seems to be distort the house i would add some kind of cam modifier to fix that..good luck:cool:
JuanManuel
I agree the background lacks depth and the camera angle is a little weird, it is the angle the client choosed, though, there is not much I could do there. Not much I could do about the colours of the house either. The client liked that image as it is, but I feel there is still lots more that can be done on it. I think I will improve on it on my spare time, maybe even change some features, add more realism as in lampposts, look for more realistic camera angle, etc. Thank you for your feedback, I am taking it all into account and I hope I can show you the modifications on it soon. And give it IBL with some GI bounces, it kind of looks flat right now, but there was a one week deadline...
