atp-design
Hi Is the Vray the best choice for rendering very large and complex scene? I am an architect and i'm working on a big project contain town houses, towers, shopping mall, landscapes ,roads, trees, and more... I would like to render my project with natural lighting effects in short time and good quality , can you help me ? which render engine should i use??? I usually use Final-render stage-1 , but the image rendered in 24 h !!! is it possible in Vray to do it in less time?
manta
Well it depends on alot of things, like the dimensions of the rendering etc... If you're right in the middle of a project, I would suggest you don't switch render engines, wait till it's done then if you still find it to be inadaquate, then switch... Dario Arnaez
I can give you a tip I think. Any render engine work in same ways... more or less options but all of them do it in similar ways. The trick for scenes with a lot objects some times is the materials. Do give a high profile to a material that will be appear so far because no one will see the difference... but the render engine yes!!! Other solution would be to split the scene in layers. A layer with the objects so far and other one for near things. Obviously the near you would use a high parameters and the other a low profile and fix it with a little bit blur in Photoshop. Then... you know join its in Photoshop and Voila!! Good luck!
atp-design
thank you DArnaez vbmenu_register("postmenu_132235", true); but i want to make animation in the future ,how can split scene in the layers when your camera is moving inside!.. so i think all objects must render in one stage definitely. BrianKitts
video progs like aftereffects, would allow you to blend/overlay and comp all your layers back together for an animation.
atp-design
how can i separate objects during an animation? in some cases one object moving in depth and mask behind others. so how should i render a scene in 2 or more files as different layers for composing in a software like aftereffect ? i dont underestand where the z-depth data could be save?
