Josamoto
Im trying to export some trees from Vue to LW9, but somehow tree trunks always get messed up with the textures. Does anyone have a perfect or better workflow for getting trees into Lightwave?
Lizard Head
question,,, if the trees are a product of VUE,,, why not leave them there and composite output from LW and VUE??? if you need geometry in LW for trees.. why not create them in LW?? I ask only to see your reasons for wanting VUE geometry in LW
Allen
Josef: In Vue are you increasing the quality level in the export dialog box? It's the "Mesh Resolution" area on the right side. I've found that increasing that will create some nice models for LW. Also, don't forget to output your image maps (color, bump, and alpha) with the model. I wish it would allow me to create separate surfaces for the leaves, and trunk. Using clip maps requires one to separate those as there is one UV map controling both the trunk and leaf areas. I've gotten very good results exporting from Vue.
