Elliot
Hello, I have a mechanical machine that has many isolated items that are the same. I am manually dragging the material to gadget on which I want the material pasted. Then I do the UV Map in order to align the material to the object. Is there a way like with AutoCAD or even Words that I could copy the property of the previous material I aligned without having to do so many "clicks" For example can I go to the previous item and drag the UV Mapping properties to the new item I am creating.... Ricardo Eloy
Not that I'm aware of...but, if you copy those parts as instances (assuming they are really the same), when you apply a material to one of them, the others will follow. Hope it helps.
Ky Lane
Surely applying the map etc to one, then copying it will copy all the properties across?
Tim Nelson
Have you tried using the "acquire" button in the uvw map controls? So you would add a uvw modifier to one of your objects, then hit acquire, and then select one of the objects that has already been mapped. You can then choose either relative or absolute depending on what works best. Not sure if that will work for your particular needs, but it certainly helps me out a lot. Or...just in case you haven't tried this already. Right click & copy the uvw map modifier one one of the objects you have already mapped. Then select all remaining objects, right click & paste. This will instance the mapping for all objects, unless you turn it back to unique.
