mskin
Does anyone know a way to shade an xref (autocad 2007)? I want a reference to shade similarly to the way it shades during refedit mode, but when im working on the drawing normally. i seam to recall some slide bar that changes the references appearance..... thanks
neko
when you say 'shade' you really mean transparent, correct ? i like your idea, and i tried to find something new in 2007 that might do that, but i can't seem to find anything. my only suggestion might be to change all the colours of the xref layers to a greytone (in the assembly drawing) and make sure that the VISRETAIN variable is set to '1' - which means it can be independent from the original xref. hope that helps cheers
mskin
yes, i mean transparent - or partially transparent. Usually i do just change all the colors to a 243 or 244, but there is so much information on the drawing that its extremely muddy when doing that.
