ZFact
Hi All; I want to create a night shot with lots of dramatic car lighting. ( Red Streaks ) wraping around the building. I believe in camera terms its called a B-exposure. Does anyone know how to achieve this effect in post works using photoshop? Thanks
3D_IC
Thats quite an easy effect to re-create in photoshop. What i would do is scan in an image/photo with this effect already created. Then in Photoshop pipet the colour from the red streaks. Now paint a line using the paintbrish tool. click where you want the streak to start. Hold shift and click where you want it to finish. This ensures a straight line. Then in filters/blur/motion blur, and a motion blur to the line. Also try gaussian blur and try different settings for best results. you may need to create two lines with different amounts of blur. One for the inner part where the light is more intense (less blur) and one for the fall off created by the cars fast motion. The same can be done for the headlights and indicators. hope this helps
