STRAT
in both images those wooden boards look too evenly lit. almost like they have self illum or sss applied.
Poll
Hi Thomas, I think it looks really great, your concrete looks excellent! But I must agree with strat on the wooden boards. It looks like they have an orange colour and a bump map instead of a texture + bump. Also in the first image the water isn't that obvious (that it's water ). Maybe you could add a little caustic effects. I think that would complete your image. One last thing would be your ceiling. I think some kind of rough texture would tie the room together (like the dude would say:D ). Well.. I think it looks great already, but you wanted some c&c. Keep us posted with your work! (and maybe a little advice how to make concrete like that:D )
Koper
cool pics man the wall textures are very well done, except for where the water level are, maybe just re-texture the bottom parts so that it looks wet. Otherwise, very cool, I strugle to make water like that! Do you think you can share you technique with us? from modifiers to end?
diegofer_9
Nice idea, but I think the water doesnt look like water at all IMO. I think it needs more transparency and definetly better caustics. Not that I know how to make it betterm but I think that's what is lacking. I agree about the boards, the seem like self illuminated. But this is a great image. Hope you post some more.
wilky9
That's water? I thought it was some kind of grey sand or something. Maybe it matches the color of the walls too much, or is too transparent? Water is difficult!
Koper
i think the water is very close to what is should look like. Remember, there is little external light influence on the water. the second image looks as if it could be a movie scene

alias_marks
Great render. You're caustics are really working out well. I don't have much advice as far as improvement. You're design reminds me a lot of Carlo Scarpa's work - specifically in Venice. I really digg your boundary and material edge differences/contrasts in the design. nice work.
