ZFact
Hi All; Please find attached a photograph of skyscrapers at night. I am working on a night shot of a tower block at the moment and would like some advice on the best way to light up the internal of the building. Is it best to do it in post work and if so any tips on how i could do this in photoshop. thanks
alexthg
Just light your tower interior with self illum material, or whatever suits your renderers, then put curtains (just a simple rectangular plane will do) to any window u want to be dark Regards Harry G
AJLynn
If you're using Cinema that's easy. Go here: http://forum.3dfluff.com/ and in the Materials board there are several skyscraper windows materials. If you're not using Cinema, do it the same way, with a procedural material. jophus14
AJLynn: This sounds horrible, but could you explain what you mean by using a procedural material for doing this type of lighting? Thanks.

AJLynn
Joseph: it would be a material for tiling windows and making some glow, it's not actual lighting. Okay, maybe it would need some Photoshop work.
ZFact
I think joseph is chatting about the procedural thing being horrible. You know.. cameras in places other than 3D space

jophus14
I was saying that my question might seem horrible, I was wondering what a precedural material is considered?
