BunGHoLe
I just got this idea and I sat down right away to post this question. If I want to create a room where both interior (the room) and exterior (for example a terrace) have to be rendered in the same scene is there a way to use one HDRI just for the room and another just for the terrace? And I'm not talking about an HDRI just as reflection map. I'm talking about lighting the whole scene up.
FlytE
I suppose technically you could put an hdri map in the environment slot of all the textures used in the interior, and use the outdoor hdri in your vray environment slot.
Clifton Santiago
I recommend putting the HDRI you want to use to light your interior in your Vray environment slot, and the one you want to see in your background in your Max environment slot. If you are looking out through glass, you will need to put your exterior HDRI in your Vray refraction slot. With your exterior one however, if it just for providing a background, and not for lighting, reflection, or refraction, you can just use an LDR version.
