a rendering tutorial made before the days of gi and radiosity. the days when 'making nice' was still down to the artist ;)

 

(most of the kids here wont have a clue what i'm jabbering about)

I think this might be more current... visually verified montages is

now the new term for photomontage... basically it means you can

to a certain degree prove your method by following a set of

guidelines set out by the landscape intitute called

 

Guidelines for Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment; Second Edition

 

I have not read over it in any great detail but i recall someone saying

they were not convinced by the methods listed.

 

I know strat still stands by the human eye as being the best method

of all for working the model into the photo.

Is there any tutorial or any kind soul can teach me how to composite a rendered building into a photo? i want to learn about photomontages. Thanks a million

Can't tell you exactly where on this site, other than looking in the obvious Tips & Techniques or Tutorial forum areas, but I know they do quite a bit of what you're asking about. See: http://www.mattepainting.org

 

Look in the WIP section too as people often show their work in stages with pros offering advice or counter demonstrations.
