Strats werthers montages LMAO! a rendering tutorial made before the days of gi and radiosity. the days when 'making nice' was still down to the artist (most of the kids here wont have a clue what i'm jabbering about)
ZFact
I think this might be more current... visually verified montages is now the new term for photomontage... basically it means you can to a certain degree prove your method by following a set of guidelines set out by the landscape intitute called Guidelines for Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment; Second Edition I have not read over it in any great detail but i recall someone saying they were not convinced by the methods listed. I know strat still stands by the human eye as being the best method of all for working the model into the photo. Hope this helps some anyroad

Thanks a million Can't tell you exactly where on this site, other than looking in the obvious Tips & Techniques or Tutorial forum areas, but I know they do quite a bit of what you're asking about. See: http://www.mattepainting.org Look in the WIP section too as people often show their work in stages with pros offering advice or counter demonstrations.
