bigcahunak
Hi Again, NPR is a little hard to comment on as far as lighting and matterials, however the stones on the wall looks somewhat odd. maybe its the relatively sharp edge on the corner there, perhaps color... dont know. It looks a tad dark in the entrance area, and under the roof at the top. I do have a problem with the camera angle and frame. I'd want to see some more foreground and more of the building. Just my 2 cents...
Ernest Burden III
I do have a problem with the camera angle and frame. I'd want to see some more foreground and more of the building. Just my 2 cents... I agree, the angle is a bit extreme for no apparent reason, also, there is no life to the windows so it would be nice to see some variation, and a sense of what is happening at the entrance(?) at the base of the tower. To put it another way--this image says "stay away".
Sawyer
When it comes to things like this I have to say I am not sure what you are selling. Bottom line is that (I believe) usually our work is about selling something either an idea or a bldg. Some images work as a graphic but I don't think it is expressive in the way that it needs to be to make me want to buy whatever is being sold. In this case I think the picture is really cool but not clearly showing the space. Often on this forum I see a great image & I think "wow! that is great level of realism" but on closer look I think "well that may be too real because I don't want to go there. I have no desire to be in that space." Then there are other images that I personaly don't like. But if I look closely I have to say that I think they work, or at least they are something that are expressive enough. Here is the test I use - I pretend I am a realtor & when I look at a picture I assume the role of putting a $10,000 ad campaign together. If the picture seems like it would tell the story & say "COME SEE THIS SPACE" then I think it works. If I think I would spend the money to place the image in a national mag then it works. This image looks to me like it could be used to sell jackets, watches, beer or windows.
Tim Nelson
I think I like a lot of it. The radial blur kind of gives me the spinning, dizzy feeling though. Also agree that the stone needs to be worked on more. And maybe the guy in front is a little too distracting. It might work better to add people on either the left or right extremities. You'll have to be careful with the proportions/distortions of the people because of the 3rd vanishing point. Make sure that that fit in the scene. Perhaps the people could be in motion instead of the camera. Maybe a little less noise too. Also see if you can shed more light on the inside of your entry way. I like images that don't show the whole building though. This shot might be a little too close, but at least you get to show off some of the details you might lose from a further perspective. Fernando Lino
Thanks for the commentaries! This image is just a test...I was playing around with photoshop and I'd like some opinions. I work in design but I really enjoy to work with 3d stuff. About this project I did only one general view because I didn't have time to create another image(I need a new workstation ) , but after the presentation I wanted to play a little more. any way...I'll take yours advices for the next presentation. Thank you!!!
