ihabkal
My ex employer e-mailed me that the new Vray 1.5 RC2 funks out he said :"Apparently the new vray does not work with rpc's with reflection turned on. The rpc's were poping into the frames of the animation only after the center of the rpc was in the frame.... Archvisions fix was to make them reflecting in the environment. The new vray funks out......" Plus he says it takes longer to render the same scene when compared to the previous vray. Do you agree? WHat do you think of the new Vray? BrianKitts
no I do not agree. Keep in mind, a scene set for vray 1.47..... isn't a straight transfer into 1.5. You will probably have to change a few settings for the scene. I know there's a thread here on the site covering this, but I can't seem to find it right now. I'm actually finding 1.5 to seem a little faster, speacially when using displacement. I've only had it upgraded for a day so far, but I'm totally a fan. As for the RPCs... I'm not surprised, they have never been too compatabile with GI engines, I wanted RPCs so bad years ago when I was in a small company with no budget cause they looked so good in my opinion, now that I have em.... I hardly use them, the quality of the scenes they're in has bypassed the actual quality of the product.
