Dario Arnaez
In some scenes that I have, before to open it jump a window warning titled "Missing Dlls". How is the process to see wich object is using that Dll and delete it or to do something for to avoid that warning? Thanks.
Matt Clementson
Well that rather depends on which DLLs are missing. If its a renderer (like vRay or finalRender) then switching the renderer back to scanline (or one that you do have installed) should fix it. If its an object that's missing (such as a natFX tree) then they will have been replaced by a simple cube - should be easy to spot in the scene. If its a material (such as any of the specialist materials for renderers like vRay) then you'll need to check the scene materials list for anything listed as 'missing material' - the same applies if its a map that's missing. If its a modifier (like Greeble) then things are going to be more interesting as you'll have to go through each object to find the missing one. Generally for all of these cases a quick MAXScript will probably be the quickest way to find and rectify the issue.
Dario Arnaez
Ok, Thank you Baldrick!!! The Dll missing is SimClothMod ... suely is because I merge a object but I dont remember wich one is... Do you know any tutorial for to know about a maxscript that you are taking? thanks! Matt Clementson
Best place to start with MAXScript is to look on http://www.scriptspot.com - there are some tutorials on there but not many. The helpfile that comes with MAX also has some tutorials in. SimClothMod is a modifier that simulates cloth, I'd look for a plane or similar object that looks a little 'odd' in your scene.
