Greg Johno
I am new to Vray & i have just produced my first interior scene which i hope to show you all very soon. I have been able to do most things but my final problem is when i render my scene to bring into photoshop to composite a background image my glass doesnt show as being transparent & i am unable to place my image in the background. I have saved as a tiff and also tried saving as targa but have had no luck. I think it might be to do with my glazing material settings could someone please show me the settings to achieve this, THANKS.
creasia
In the bottom of your glass vray material, you need to activate the "affect alpha" checkbox. If you have more than one layer of glass, this doesn't work so well though. Make your background black select the window area in photoshop and then paste it into a new layer using the "lighten" layer effect. This way you can keep your reflections, and also see through the window. I rendered a glass wall in front of a window this way and put a cityscape in the background all within photoshop.
