Modeling in AutoCAD, setting material and lighting in VIZ and final rendering in Lightscape. Pls need some comment and suggestion... Tony Posted June 27, 2003 Share Posted June 27, 2003 take a look at the UVW mapping of your wood on the doors and table. Wood grain direction is wrong. Grain usually follows the vertical and horizontal length of a piece. For example, the grain should run vertically on the vertical pieces on the windows. The mapping on the seat cushions is also wrong. The top looks fine but the sides are wrong. It looks like you just used a planar UVW on them. Also, your shadows are not consistant. The books on the table don't show any shadows at all. Is that glass on the coffee table? Nice modeling, but you need to work on the lighting & shadows and mapping of you textures.
