CORRENTES
Hi there, i´m a architecture student, and this is my first try with vray. Its a very simple and basic scene (easy to render and preview), just to know and learn the vray behavior. First note that i will never forget is to disable de exposure control in viz. Its easier set up the ilumination with the exposure control, but the materials go crazy. So i set up the basics of ilumination then i applied the materials after that i worked the 2 together. The image took me less than 10 min. to render. Gotta love Vray C&C are welcome http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=16424&stc=1&d=1158354099
AJLynn
Good start. You're right, Vray and Exposure Control don't go well together, but Vray does have color mapping and physical camera that can both be used to do exposure control, plus curve correction in the Vray frame buffer, so you have options. You've got something going on with the light splotches on the ceiling... are you using photon map GI or photon caustics? Neither of those is good for a scene like this, with a sun hitting a large area. I recommend Irradiance Map as primary and Light Cache as secondary, check out the interior scene tutorial on the Spot3D Vray help section.
ovzoc
Nice start for a student... Of course many things have to be mentioned (eg tiling on the wall, too much reflection on the floor etc...) but as a beginning it is very nice.. Keep up...
