imgumbydammit
I was watching the 3dsmax "lofts" video just put up on the front page and a question occured to me...building inspector /3d cg hobbyist NOOb that I am.....Does the typical arch visualizer eyeball certain dimensions when modelling a visualization piece or is every elevation measured carefully ??Take for instance a handrail on a flight of stairs...is it placed purposefully at a height of no more than 38" and with a dia. ) above ff in 3d space ??? Doorknobs and switch heights per industry standards ??? Probably copuld have said that in less words but it's friday and cocktail time..plus you all know how loquacious us Inspectors can be.. which reminds me..this one time at band camp.................... ajvbochove
If an architectural background and started with CAD. Now I use Max for modeling. When I had my first Max course I was told that you've to model only those things that you see. And when you're modeling things that go to the background, dimensions aren't as important. But try to model in standards ain't a bad habit, just keep the deadline in the back of your mind.
