I have been instructed to model a building we have designed for marketing purposes. The building is in a Western Reserve style. So there is a lot of detail in it. Well even after explaining to the boss that the more you want to see, the more of the building I have to model, and the longer it will take.

So guess what he decided on? He wants overall views of 3 out of 4 facades. So do I build 3 separate models, or do I build one model with 3 detailed facades?

But another problem that I am having is that when I just do some quick test renders, the model is looking very choppy. It is rendering as if object were overlapping each other. Which is not the case.

Now let me know if this is wrong the way I am modeling the wall. (Using VIZ 4) I extrude poly- lines to correct height and width. Then I boolean a hole to place the window, header and sill. But since the sill extends beyond the windows, i do another boolean operation to cut out the sill shape. I have no idea what I am doing wrong to make it look so bad.

Man I am so embarrassed!!

Hi again, Josh!

There looks like you have something wrong there even in the viewports. Maybe it's the booleans (if you don't use PowerBooleans, they suck most of the time!). Why don't you try modeling the walls using splines on the front/left views? You'll get something not that heavy and probably will solve your problem. That's a thought.
