hey, does anyone model in revit and import into max for better quality renders? ifso which is the best way? i noticed that all walls import as the same layer, so i makes it hard to apply different materials

i know this should be in revit forum, but it seems a bit quiet there

thanks

dave

Way back in the day I used to bring objects out of revit into max. Then I saw the light and just modeled in Max. However, it seems that there should be a better max exporting tool available since Autodesk has Revit now.

Also, you can always just detach objects once inside max and apply different materials there. You dont need to stick to the layers that Revit gives you or set up your layers in Revit so that differnt types of walls import into different layers in Max.

Take a look at your Max import settings as well, and make sure things are importing by layer and that may help as well.
